Why You Should Attend this Summit

Veterans Affairs programs would see a 20% increase in funding under the White House budget plan for fiscal 2023, pushing the department’s spending total above $300 billion for the first time. The plan includes large increases in outpatient care services ($29.6 billion, up 32%), mental health care programs, & electronic health records. This Summit will examine current initiatives across the DoD/VA to utilize innovative commercial solutions to improve the delivery of quality health care to Veterans. This event will also offer perspective into current ways the VA is pushing forth initiatives to focus on addressing care gaps while still ensuring VA facilities & services continue to be modernized.

The forum is created to encourage a real, pragmatic level of discussion and debate amongst all in attendance. Senior Leaders at this event will discuss how streamlining contracting & innovation will be key in reducing overall redundancies & improving acquisition priorities. Speakers at this event will offer attendees insight into how they are guiding the important strides being made in achieving process interoperability for the ongoing EHR rollout, advancing telehealth programs/virtual health capabilities, & also, in standardizing care at all facilities across the Military Health System, to ensure the best clinical outcomes. Finally, a panel at this event will feature key senior level VA executives & private industry, who will detail how the progress made in effectively managing data & analytics will be vital to enhancing Veteran Care.
